About the matches
THIS IS A COMMUNITY, FRIENDLY FOOTBALL EVENT. We do not advise you to play competitively, and please do not injure other players. Thank you!
PLEASE REGISTER TO SECURE YOUR SPOT.
All the matches will held at EV Arena Elmina City Center on their artificial grass field. Please wear turf or football boots. We will be doing a non-competitive social pick-up games, following 5-a-side format with small goals, and each game lasting 7 minutes.
Although we understand that some players might be coming in groups or with friends, we encourage players to mix and play with new people. This is a chance to connect on a common cause.
The idea is not to win, but to have fun with people that share the same aspiration of providing aid and relief for the people of Gaza.
Groups should be mixed of competent players and beginners of various ages and genders. Additionally, there will be a separate field designated for female participants to further promote inclusivity and comfort.
Prizes
There are no winners until Palestine is free. Our winners are Palestinians fighting for their lives and freedom.
All participants who paid RM55 will automatically be included in our Freedom Raffles.
We will be having a raffle at the end of the event where participants who donated can win raffle prizes like signed items, jerseys, books, and more. Each raffle prize ticket is RM5 donated by participants during registration. Participants can decide which raffle prizes they’d wish to put their tickets to. Participants who submitted the most raffle tickets will stand a chance to win the prize.

Can I just come and register at the venue?
YES YOU CAN!
I didn’t register, can I still come?
YES you can definitely come and register at the venue if you want to play. Bring friends and check out our Freedom Football x Market Minggu bazaar area which is open to public. Please support our cause by donating any amount by scanning the QR code you see around the market. Due to limited space, the Freedom Football area is only reserved for players and the guests with wristbands who have registered, it’s not open to the public.
Will there be any other activities?
Freedom Football x Market Minggu will be held on one of the fields, and there will be some football activities for kids and adults.
Kids?
Since some of our participants are asking to bring their kids, we will have a designated area for kids to play football.
We will also have a slot where kids aged 7 and above to play football with each other if there are enough players. We won’t be charging a fee for kids to take part, but remember we are raising funds to send food aid to Gaza families, so donation is highly encouraged!
We will have a little art section for kids (and adults!) to get creative.
What do I get for RM55?
RM55 will get you one entry ticket and a spot in the matches, a fun time, and an automatic raffle ticket to win some cool prizes donated by our friends at the end of the game! Most importantly, your RM55 will be able to pay for meals for Palestinians in Gaza.
We are working on getting a goodie bag with freebies to give to our participants, however its TBC.
Can I bring my friends/family members to this event but they are not playing?
Yes, but donations are greatly appreciated if you would like to bring friends & family members. Please check out our Freedom Football x Market Minggu area and donate any amount by scanning our QR code.
Freedom Football area (for players) - We understand if players would want to bring their family & friends , however we would like to remind our participants to limit their guests to 2 persons due to limited space. We would like to remind parents that there won’t be any tents (except for food, drinks, merch vendors) comfortable sitting areas around the field but we are providing an art area for kids while they wait for their parents. We also would like to remind parents to never leave their child unattended and must be with a family member.
Is there a toilet nearby?
There are toilets at the premise but if you are not playing we recommend walking across the street to use the WC at Elmina Lakeside Mall.
Will there be food and drinks?
PLEASE bring your own water bottle if possible. Bottled water is available onsite for purchase but we will also provide a water dispenser (thanks to Jantzen!) to replenish your own water bottle. This is to minimize waste and use of plastic at our event.
Can I wear sneakers to play?
All players must wear turf boots or football boots.
